Hilton has teamed up with Middle East For Nile Cruisers to unveil the Waldorf Astoria Nile River Experience, a luxurious floating retreat that reimagines travel along Egypt’s iconic river.
Launching next year, this new venture marks the debut of the Waldorf Astoria brand on the Nile, offering guests a refined and immersive way to explore Egypt’s cultural wonders with signature Waldorf Astoria elegance.
The experience will include both four- and six-night journeys between Luxor and Aswan, with private docks at each end. Guests will discover ancient Egyptian landmarks including Luxor’s majestic temples, the Valley of the Kings, and historic sites in Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan.

Throughout the journey, Waldorf’s hallmark of personalized service will be on full display, with dedicated concierges catering to every need.
The river cruise ship will feature five expansive decks and just 29 suites, each crafted as a serene, upscale sanctuary offering panoramic Nile views.
Guests can expect luxury amenities like a modern fitness centre, an indulgent spa, and gourmet dining options.
Signature venues include the iconic Peacock Alley lounge, a brasserie serving a mix of Egyptian and international cuisine, and a rooftop deck perfect for sunset views—all embodying Waldorf’s culinary excellence.
Dino Michael, Hilton’s Senior VP and Global Head of Luxury Brands, described the launch as part of a new era for Waldorf Astoria, pointing to recent openings in Osaka and Costa Rica and future debuts in London, Jaipur and Sydney.
He emphasized that this Nile experience will offer travellers a truly extraordinary perspective of Egypt’s landscape and heritage.
Currently operating 14 properties in Egypt, Hilton plans to triple its footprint in the country, further expanding its luxury and lifestyle offerings. This signing reflects Hilton’s broader regional growth strategy and its dedication to delivering exceptional hospitality.
