A Culinary Journey Inspired by New York
Named after the hotel’s Lexington Avenue location and its historic connection to Grand Central Station via Track 61, Lex Yard will invite diners to explore a culinary experience steeped in New York’s rich legacy. The restaurant will feature a lively bar and social hub on the ground floor, with an elegant dining room upstairs offering a more elevated ambiance.
Chef Michael Anthony, known for his dedication to sustainable ingredients and partnerships with local farmers, will craft menus that highlight seasonal produce, high-quality meats, and sustainably caught seafood. The dining options will include:
- A La Carte Menu: Showcasing curated favorites from Chef Anthony.
- Seasonal Tasting Menu: A set menu of four savory courses and a dessert, reflecting the finest local ingredients.
“Seasonal ingredients are the starting point of our menu choices,” said Chef Anthony. “Lex Yard will tell a story of the people and places that produce the most exciting foods in this region, creating memorable meals anchored in a specific place and time.”
An Art Deco Tribute to New York
Designed by AvroKO, Lex Yard’s interiors will celebrate the Art Deco elegance of Waldorf Astoria New York, blending timeless beauty with modern sophistication. The upstairs dining room will feature white oak parquet floors, fluted columns with integrated lighting, and a stunning chandelier crafted from glass, stone, and brass.
The downstairs bar will exude vibrant energy with coffered ceilings, brass lighting, and a terrazzo-clad bar accented by turquoise leather panels. Playful nods to New York’s urban character will include geometric terrazzo floors inspired by the city’s layout and table lamps echoing classic subway entrance lighting.
Both floors will offer private dining spaces for up to 16 guests, making Lex Yard an ideal venue for intimate gatherings and events.
A Neighborhood Destination
“Lex Yard will offer a neighborhood dining destination for New York, by New York,” said Luigi Romaniello, managing director of Waldorf Astoria New York. “Chef Michael Anthony’s passion for exceptional dining and sustainable ingredients will define our menu, providing an experience that locals, residents, and visitors will cherish.”
