The Best Chef Awards made a grand entrance into the Middle East this year, holding its prestigious 2024 ceremony in Dubai from November 4 to 6. Supported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the event highlighted global culinary innovation and brought together over 800 culinary professionals, top chefs, hospitality leaders, journalists, and food lovers.
Among the distinguished honourees was Chef Pedro Pena Bastos of CURA, at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, who received the esteemed Two-Knives Award, solidifying both his and CURA’s place on the world culinary stage.

This year’s Best Chef Awards, themed “The Future of Food (R)evolution,” focused on the evolving world of gastronomy, celebrating chefs who push boundaries. Attendees of the gala finale enjoyed a culinary tour through Dubai’s celebrated dining scene, sampling specialties from Atlantis Dubai’s renowned restaurants like Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Nobu Dubai, and La Mar by Gastón Acurio, among others.
