Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the introduction of its innovative premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, to mainland Europe with the upcoming opening of Spark by Hilton Stuttgart Sindelfingen. This 103-room hotel, set to open later this year, is part of a franchise agreement with Aspire Hotels GmbH. The move follows the rapid success of the brand’s launch in 2023, which saw it become the fastest announcement-to-market brand in Hilton’s history, expanding to nearly 50 hotels and with over 175 more in development.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton’s senior vice president of development for EMEA, commented, “We are thrilled to bring Spark by Hilton to Germany, a significant milestone following the brand’s successful debut and swift growth in the US. This move addresses the substantial demand for premium economy accommodations, delivering value for our guests while optimizing returns for our owners. With eight Hilton brands now present or in development in Germany, we are poised to meet a broader range of traveler needs in this key strategic market.”
