Six Senses Samui, a renowned hideaway on Thailand’s Koh Samui island, has spent the last 20 years perfecting its signature approach to emotional hospitality. From the warm greetings by your dedicated GEM (Guest Experience Maker) to the secluded villas with infinity pools, every detail at the resort is designed to make guests feel rejuvenated.

The oceanfront spa and yoga sala are set to the soothing sounds of the waves, while the resort’s farm-to-table dining experiences are fueled by fresh ingredients from the on-site farm.

Unique offerings such as cooking and cocktail-making classes, and chilled lemongrass-wrapped towels appearing just before you break a sweat, are all part of the Six Senses touch.

The resort features villas constructed from reclaimed wood, blending seamlessly into the lush hillside for privacy, most of which come with panoramic sea views. The Beach Reserve, with its large pool and multi-level decks, caters to families and group getaways.

Despite a major renovation in 2015, the resort continues to evolve, adding Drift at the Beach in 2020, a relaxed beach club with a sunrise-facing pool and a new restaurant.

Six Senses Samui has introduced several new culinary experiences in recent years, including collaborations with Michelin-starred chefs and the exclusive “Dining by the Edge.” Thai chefs offer classes at the main restaurant, Dining on the Hill, but the crown jewel remains the island-famous Table 99, where guests can enjoy a six-course tasting menu while taking in views of the nearby Koh Pha Ngan.

For a hands-on culinary experience, the resort offers the Garden to Glass workshop, led by Director of Food & Beverage, Sumeet Kumar. Guests are invited to pick fresh ingredients from the herb garden to create their own mocktails or cocktails, crafting everything from scratch, including using house-made coconut vodka and lemongrass straws.

The resort also offers a wellness retreat called Rekindle Your Senses. This experience includes round-trip airport transfers, daily wellness classes, meditation sessions, a 60-minute massage for two, and a plant-based menu filled with vibrant, locally sourced dishes.

For those new to meditation, Tibetan singing bowl sessions are a unique offering, using sound vibrations to help guests relax without any effort on their part.

As part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, Six Senses Samui is offering special savings throughout November, with 20 percent off accommodation, transfers, spa treatments, and other experiences for guests staying three nights or longer.
