Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse in Los Cabos, Mexico. This new residential development spans 550 acres at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. As Rosewood’s first fully branded stand-alone residential community, Old Lighthouse promises a unique blend of natural beauty and luxurious living.
The project is a collaboration with the Coppel family, renowned for their hotel and resort ventures in Mexico. Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse aims to create a community where like-minded individuals can enjoy immersive experiences that promote discovery. The development features a collection of residences cascading elegantly across the stunning landscape, offering an extensive range of exclusive amenities and services.

Perched atop dramatic cliffs, the site includes El Faro Viejo, the oldest standing structure in the region, built in 1905. This historical element adds depth to the modern luxury of the development. The residences will vary in size from 4,000 to over 10,000 square feet, each occupying approximately 0.7 acres. The homes, designed by Gomez Vazquez International and Studio Lifestyle, will integrate indoor and outdoor living spaces, using materials that harmonize with the natural environment.
The community’s amenities are designed to offer a lifestyle of unparalleled adventure and relaxation. The Cliff House, an oceanfront facility, will serve as the hub, featuring a five-star restaurant, a high-energy bar, and outdoor event spaces. Additional amenities include The Beach Club, with pools and beachfront dining, The Family Athletic Center, and a Wellbeing Center offering holistic therapies. Residents will also have access to a private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course.
Residents can enjoy curated experiences such as horseback riding, stargazing, fishing, and snorkeling, managed by a dedicated Rosewood Residential team. The development emphasizes a seamless blend of luxury and nature, fostering a connection to the land and its rich history.
Brad Berry, Vice President of Global Residential Development at Rosewood, highlighted the project’s significance: “Our partnership with Ernesto Coppel and the Coppel family will revitalize one of Los Cabos’ most iconic addresses and provide discerning buyers with an unmatched living experience in a remarkable setting.”
Jose Luis Mogollon, Managing Partner at Old Lighthouse, added, “We are thrilled to partner with Rosewood on this one-of-a-kind project. Rosewood brings a distinct exclusivity and level of service to this project that will set Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse apart from other residential offerings in Los Cabos.”
