Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, is set to become Mexico’s first luxury destination to offer on-site raicilla production, allowing guests to engage with this historic agave spirit.
To mark Mexico’s National Raicilla Day on November 30, the resort announced a Filipino-style raicilla oven, debuting in March 2025. This addition highlights the influence of Filipino sailors who brought traditional distillation techniques to Mexico, offering an immersive experience that blends cultural heritage with modern luxury.

Guests can join a master distiller from Cabo Corrientes to explore the centuries-old distillation process, experiencing the art of raicilla-making firsthand.
Exclusive tastings at the resort will feature coastal and mountain varieties, including small-batch creations crafted solely for Naviva. Chef Sofía Mojica’s curated menus at Copal Kitchen enhance the spirit’s distinct flavors, while visiting master distillers provide enriching insights.
This on-site experience complements Naviva’s Road to Raicilla excursions, where guests can visit Cabo Corrientes’ family-run tabernas or San Sebastián del Oeste’s historic distilleries.
Both journeys are led by experts deeply connected to raicilla traditions, offering rare access to this rich heritage. For details, contact Naviva at +52 329 291 6100.
