Miss River at the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is ushering in Carnival season with the much-awaited return of its elegant King Cake.

Known for reinventing New Orleans’ iconic culinary traditions, Miss River’s version of this Mardi Gras favorite offers a refined twist, combining buttery brioche with a rich filling of sweet potato and cinnamon, elevating the classic treat to new heights.

Drawing inspiration from the lively culture of New Orleans and the refined craftsmanship of the Four Seasons, the Miss River King Cake delivers a sensory experience that delights both the palate and the eye.

Executive Pastry Chef Emily Rosenberg explains, “Our goal is to celebrate the city’s culinary heritage while adding the sophistication and artistry our guests appreciate. This King Cake is a perfect reflection of that vision, bringing a fresh perspective to a treasured tradition.”

In a nod to Mardi Gras grandeur, the cake is beautifully decorated with shimmering sugar in the iconic green, gold, and purple colors of the season. Adding to its uniqueness, a sparkling crystal replaces the traditional plastic baby, drawing inspiration from the glitz of the hotel’s Chandelier Bar.

Miss River warmly invites locals and travelers to savor this luxurious rendition of a beloved New Orleans tradition. The King Cake is available exclusively to those dining at the restaurant and can also be packaged for guests wishing to enjoy it later.

Priced at $45, the cake serves 8 to 10 people and is available now through Mardi Gras on March 4, 2025. Reservations can be made via OpenTable or by calling 504-434-5701.
