Marriott International has signed an agreement with Xiamen Green Development Investment Group to launch The Ritz-Carlton, Xiamen on Xiamen Island, Fujian Province. This move marks a significant expansion of Marriott’s presence in southern China, bringing the brand’s signature luxury to the vibrant coastal city.
Set in the Siming District, the hotel will anchor a mixed-use development featuring a 340-meter office tower—soon to be Xiamen’s tallest landmark—and retail spaces.

With 228 elegantly designed rooms, including 35 suites, the hotel will offer sea views from nearly half of its accommodations. Guests can enjoy curated dining experiences, a grand ballroom, meeting spaces, and leisure facilities like a spa, fitness center, and indoor pool.
The complex will also include Marriott Executive Apartments Xiamen, with 144 fully furnished units tailored for extended stays. Amenities will include a Residents Lounge, business facilities, and shared access to the hotel’s pool and fitness center.
Positioned close to key cultural and leisure destinations, including Gulangyu Island and Xiamen University, the property is just a short drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. The Ritz-Carlton, Xiamen is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the region, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
This dual signing reinforces Marriott’s commitment to delivering exceptional experiences and growing its footprint in dynamic Chinese markets.
