Marriott International and Grupo Fametro have announced an agreement to convert an iconic property in Manaus, Amazonas, into a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
This marks the first Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Brazil, with a phased reopening expected by the end of 2024.
The hotel, originally opened in 1976, will retain its colonial architecture while offering modern amenities such as a wave pool, spa, and panoramic dining with views of the Rio Negro. The property will also feature an orchidarium, chapel, and pier for Amazon River exploration.
