Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) has officially opened its 9,000th property with the debut of The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, a luxurious beachfront haven situated on 18 acres in Longboat Key, Florida.
This landmark property offers 168 lavish guestrooms, including 26 suites, all featuring stunning ocean vistas. The resort boasts exceptional dining options and an array of world-class amenities that embody the St. Regis brand’s signature elegance and impeccable service. Adding to its allure, the resort includes 69 private branded residences, delivering an unparalleled luxury living experience on Florida’s Suncoast.
The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is the product of a collaboration between Unicorp National Developments and a trio of acclaimed design firms: SB Architects, Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA Miami), and Dutch East Design. This project is the largest development on Longboat Key in over half a century and signals the brand’s ambitious expansion in the resort sector.

The grand opening was marked by a celebration that included the traditional St. Regis champagne sabrage ceremony in the resort’s Great Hall, offering guests a picturesque view of the Gulf of Mexico.
The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort further cements Marriott International’s leadership in the luxury segment, with a portfolio that spans seven brands and includes 522 luxury hotels and resorts across 72 countries and territories. The company also boasts a robust development pipeline, with 233 projects currently signed in 57 countries and territories.
This latest addition also highlights Marriott’s continued dominance in the branded residences market. The 69 private residences at the resort, which sold out in less than a year, feature expansive outdoor terraces, private elevator access, and more. Marriott now manages 139 branded residential properties across 32 countries and territories, with an additional 122 projects in progress across 38 countries and territories.
The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is now accepting reservations through marriott.com and participates in Marriott Bonvoy®, the company’s acclaimed travel program. Members can earn and redeem points at this new property as well as across Marriott’s extensive portfolio of over 30 brands.
As a special promotion, guests enrolled in Marriott Bonvoy who book their stay at The St. Regis Longboat Key by Sunday, August 18, will receive an additional 9,000 points, adding even more value to their luxurious getaway.
