Marriott International (Nasdaq: MAR) is launching its first global capability center (GCC), the Marriott Tech Accelerator, in Hyderabad, India.
This new center aims to leverage Hyderabad’s renowned tech talent to support Marriott’s global technology infrastructure, including engineering, next-gen solutions, and security capabilities, across 141 countries and territories.

Drew Pinto, Marriott’s Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue & Technology Officer, emphasized Hyderabad’s status as a premier IT hub as a key reason for selecting the city. He also expressed gratitude for the Telangana government’s collaboration on the project.
Telangana’s Minister of Information Technology, Shri Duddila Sridhar Babu, praised the move as aligning with the state’s ambition to become a global leader in AI, Data Science, and IIoT.
The Marriott Tech Accelerator, expected to open in early 2025, marks a significant step in Marriott’s long-standing relationship with India, which began in 1999.
The company recently celebrated its 150th hotel in the country and plans to increase its room count from 29,000 to over 42,000 in the coming years, with more than 80 properties in development. Supported by ANSR, the center will further solidify Marriott’s commitment to technological innovation and growth in the region.
