Marriott International partners with PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk. to open five new properties in Indonesia, adding over 1,300 rooms, strengthening their presence in key cities by 2030.

Marriott International, Inc. and Indonesian real estate developer PT. Pakuwon Jati Tbk. have signed an agreement to develop five new hotel properties across Indonesia, adding over 1,300 rooms.

The deal, signed by leaders from both companies, including Rajeev Menon of Marriott International and Eiffel Tedja of PT. Pakuwon Jati, aims to expand their joint presence in key cities like Jakarta, Surabaya, and Batam, with openings scheduled between 2029 and 2030.

The properties include the Jakarta Marriott Hotel Kota Kasablanka, Aloft Surabaya, Pakuwon Indah, Courtyard by Marriott Batam, The Jakarta EDITION, and The Westin Batam.

This collaboration strengthens Marriott’s presence in Indonesia, where it already operates 77 hotels, with plans to reach 18 properties and 4,500 rooms by 2030.

Rajeev Menon emphasized Marriott’s commitment to expanding in response to the growing demand for leisure and business travel in Indonesia. Ramesh Jackson, Area Vice President for Indonesia & Malaysia, praised the long-standing partnership with PT. Pakuwon Jati, while Eiffel Tedja highlighted the collaboration’s goal of redefining guest service excellence in the country.

The new hotels will offer a mix of luxury and modern amenities, from sophisticated dining options and event spaces to fitness centers and spas, catering to both leisure and business travelers. This agreement marks a significant step in Marriott’s strategic expansion in Indonesia.
