Mandalay Bay Completes $100 Million Convention Center Remodel

Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino has announced the completion of a $100 million redesign of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center.

The extensive remodel aims to enhance the experience for modern meetings and events with upgraded technology and a vibrant, tropical-inspired design.

Advanced Technology and Inviting Spaces

Host to many of the industry’s top-tier events and trade shows, Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas proudly announces the completion of a $100 million redesign of its 2.1 million-square-foot convention center.

The remodel introduces state-of-the-art technology, including Cat6A Ethernet cabling for faster data transmission, 11 dynamic digital walls for brand placements, and 20 double-sided mobile display units for easy navigation. RFID locks and motion detection cameras enhance security throughout the venue.

The design, by MGM Resorts International Design Group and Dezmotif Studios, features white-washed walls, bold floral patterns, and warm walnut accents. Enhanced lighting, streamlined signage, and inviting seating areas create a bright and vibrant atmosphere that aligns with Mandalay Bay’s tropical brand.

Showcasing Fine Art and Comprehensive Amenities

The convention center now showcases new works by artists Thandiwe Muriu and Sarah Anne Johnson, part of MGM Resorts’ commitment to promoting diverse and underrepresented artists. The remodel includes updates to pre-function spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, and the exhibit space, ensuring a refreshed and cohesive look.

In addition to the convention center, Mandalay Bay has enhanced its resort experience with remodeled rooms and suites at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, new restaurants by Michael Mina and Wolfgang Puck, and upcoming attractions like Swingers mini golf and the Bob Marley Hope Road immersive experience.
