K9 Resorts Expands with Seven New Locations in Colorado and Florida

K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel, an award-winning luxury boarding and dog daycare franchise, has announced a significant expansion with a new multi-unit agreement. This deal will bring five new resorts to Denver, Colorado, and two to the Clearwater area in Florida over the next five years. The expansion underscores K9 Resorts’ commitment to national growth through franchise partnerships.

The expansion is spearheaded by father-son duo Mike and Thomas Esposito. Both alumni of Brown University and former Wall Street professionals at Goldman Sachs, the Espositos bring a wealth of business acumen to the venture. Mike, after a 28-year career at Goldman Sachs, has invested in multiple franchises in the restaurant industry. Thomas, combining his business background with a passion for dogs and the pet care industry, saw K9 Resorts as the perfect franchise opportunity.

“After finding K9 Resorts and meeting with Jason and Steven Parker, there was no doubt that this was a franchise I wanted to be a part of,” said Mike Esposito. “K9 Resorts is a market differentiator in the pet care industry, offering a business model that promises success and a strong return on investment. I am excited to co-own seven K9 Resorts locations with my son and contribute to its growth while teaching him the ins and outs of franchising.”

K9 Resorts currently operates over 170 resorts across 28 states, with the pet boarding industry projected to reach $35.8 billion by 2031. The recent $10 million investment from Partners Pacific Resorts and new agreements in Utah and Nebraska position K9 Resorts to dominate the luxury pet care market.

“I worked with the pet care industry during my time at Goldman Sachs and have never seen a business model like K9 Resorts,” said Thomas Esposito. “As a pet owner, I know that dogs are true family members, and K9 Resorts is where I would want to send my dog. It’s an attractive franchise opportunity founded by two brothers passionate about the industry, and we’re excited to bring K9 Resorts’ high standard of pet care to new communities.”

K9 Resorts plans to continue its growth momentum, with additional territories available in Colorado, Florida, and beyond. The growing economies and dog-friendly nature of these states make them ideal markets for expansion.

“The Espositos are ideal franchisees for K9 Resorts. Their business backgrounds, passion for pets, and Mike’s franchise experience will drive quick success,” said Jason Parker, Co-Founder and CEO of K9 Resorts Franchising, LLC. “K9 Resorts is expanding exponentially, and we are eager to see their businesses provide a home away from home where the dogs of Denver and Clearwater will love to stay and play.”
