IHG Hotels & Resorts is adding another jewel to its luxury portfolio in Italy with the signing of Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa, Vignette Collection in Marina di Ragusa, Sicily.
Partnering with Blu Lava Resorts and managed by Panoram Hotels, the sea-view property marks the second Vignette Collection hotel announced in Italy—and the first to open—welcoming guests in late 2025.
This 43-room retreat blends local charm with IHG’s signature luxury, offering access to a private beach club, two pools, a chic bar, and an all-day dining venue.

Its prime location near UNESCO World Heritage towns like Ragusa, Modica, and Noto places guests within reach of Sicily’s unique cultural and natural landscapes, from baroque architecture to Mediterranean coastlines.
The signing underscores IHG’s push to expand its luxury and lifestyle footprint in Italy, where it currently operates eight hotels with another eight in development.
The Vignette Collection, launched in 2021, caters to owners of upscale independent hotels seeking the benefits of IHG’s global systems while preserving each property’s distinct personality.
With 17 open and pipeline Vignette Collection hotels across Europe, including recent signings in France, Spain, and the UK, the brand continues its fast-paced growth. The Sicily hotel also marks IHG’s first partnership with Blu Lava Resorts, aiming to set a new benchmark for boutique luxury on the island.
As IHG builds its presence across Italy’s most iconic destinations, Costa Irminia Retreat & Spa promises to deliver an immersive stay that reflects the brand’s ethos of individuality, local connection, and meaningful experiences.
