The 140-room hotel will be split between two sections: one housed in a restored heritage building overlooking the canal, and the other a new beachfront property. This marks IHG’s first Vignette Collection property in Egypt, adding to its expanding Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG’s India, Middle East, and Africa region, emphasized the strategic significance of the location, while Maxim Hotels’ Dr. Mohamed Karrar highlighted the hotel’s appeal for guests seeking both history and luxury.
IHG currently operates seven hotels in Egypt, with plans for 21 more in the coming years. The Vignette Collection continues to grow globally, with properties already established in Portugal, Austria, Thailand, and Australia.
