IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with API Hotels & Resorts to introduce the first-ever Kimpton hotel in the UAE, marking a significant expansion of its luxury lifestyle offerings in the region.
Slated to open in early 2026, Kimpton Dubai will be located in the heart of Business Bay, just minutes from the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, placing it in one of the city’s most dynamic districts for both business and leisure.

The upcoming hotel will feature 280 rooms, including suites, and will bring Kimpton’s signature style—blending bold design with heartfelt hospitality—to the city. Guests can expect standout amenities like a rooftop pool, spa, wellness centre, curated retail outlets, and generous meeting and event spaces, including a grand ballroom.
The property will also host three distinct dining concepts, aiming to deliver the kind of innovative food and beverage experiences Kimpton is globally known for.
Kimpton’s debut in Dubai reflects the brand’s global momentum and growing appeal in the Middle East’s evolving luxury landscape.
Known for creating immersive, experience-led stays, Kimpton hotels often work with local creatives to design spaces that spark connection and creativity—something IHG’s regional head, Haitham Mattar, highlighted as central to the brand’s identity.
This launch builds on the existing partnership between IHG and API Hotels & Resorts, who recently opened InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay in September 2024.
It also follows IHG’s regional push to expand the Kimpton brand, including a recent signing in Riyadh with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund-backed King Abdullah Financial District.
For IHG, this move strengthens its growing Middle East footprint, where it now boasts over 122 properties and nearly 44,000 rooms across nine countries. With Kimpton now joining IHG’s Middle East portfolio, the brand adds to an already diverse mix that includes Six Senses, InterContinental, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco, and others across luxury, premium, essentials, and suite-style categories.
The Kimpton Dubai promises to offer a boutique-meets-luxury alternative in the city’s competitive hospitality scene, bringing a social, design-forward, and community-rooted ethos that appeals to modern travellers looking for more than just a place to stay.
