IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched its Summer Soiree series, running from June 1 to September 2, across its luxury and lifestyle hotels in the Americas. This new experiential series aims to provide guests with immersive summer experiences through seasonal menus, music, decor, and bespoke events at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo properties.
The Summer Soiree will transport guests to a dreamy escape, evoking the warmth of summer days and nights with lavish decor featuring hyperreal botanicals and greenery, a curated playlist, and expertly crafted culinary and cocktail offerings. Kathleen Reidenbach, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Commercial, Luxury & Lifestyle Americas at IHG, stated, “This summer, we are embracing the vibe and essence of the season to bring our vision of a summer oasis to life in our lobbies and beyond, inviting travelers to immerse in the unforgettable feelings of the season.”
In collaboration with the Barcelona-based atelier Wanda Barcelona, IHG is introducing floral pop-ups at six hotels across North America, including InterContinental The Willard Washington DC, InterContinental Presidente Mexico City, Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami, Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel, Yours Truly DC, and Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown. These installations will feature interactive lobby bars, botanical cocktails, and seasonal plates crafted by in-house chefs.
For larger group gatherings, Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia and InterContinental San Francisco will offer floral decor and furnishings inspired by Wanda Barcelona, enhancing meetings and events with vinyl listening stations, interactive art, pop-up beverage carts, and curated catering menus.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts will feature Club InterContinental lounges with lush botanical elements, live music, vinyl listening stations, and Lo-Fi High Tea. Families can enjoy in-room summer camp-out setups at InterContinental New York Barclay and InterContinental New York Times Square. InterContinental San Diego will host a LoveShackFancy pop-up at its rooftop bar, Layover, while InterContinental Toronto Centre will offer summer-inspired decor and a HAKADA Beauty pop-up.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will revive its intimate concert series, Kimpton Off the Record, sponsored by Coca-Cola. The series kicks off on June 12 at Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami, featuring DRAMA. Seasonal food and beverage menus informed by Kimpton’s 2024 Culinary & Cocktail Trend Report will be available at properties like Kimpton Everly Hotel and Kimpton Palladian Hotel. Guests can also enjoy secret social passwords for summer-themed surprises and family-friendly summer camp activities at select Kimpton hotels.
Hotel Indigo properties will offer menus inspired by nature, featuring seasonal herbs, flora, and fruits. Hotel Indigo Tallahassee Collegetown and other locations will have specialty summer items and activities such as Tasting Tuesday and Signo Sunday afternoons. Dog-friendly events and entertainment will be available at select Hotel Indigo properties, including Hotel Indigo Columbus Architectural Center.
Vignette Collection will present the Ultimate Summer Escape at Yours Truly DC’s Mercy Me restaurant, transforming the patio into the Tropicalia Cocktail Garden with tropical plants, South American-inspired cocktails, and live DJs on weekends.
Guests can take advantage of IHG’s annual Summer Sale, offering discounts of up to 25% for IHG One Rewards members and 20% for the general public on stays through September 2. Bookings are available through May 21.
