Located in Chania city centre, the Vignette Collection hotel will offer 39 rooms, a rooftop bar, restaurant, wellness centre, and a heated plunge pool. Meanwhile, Kimpton La Mer Crete will be a beachfront resort between Chania and Rethymno, featuring 76 guestrooms, two restaurants, a spa with a seaside indoor pool, and direct access to Georgioupolis beach.

IHG’s VP of Development, Willemijn Geels, highlighted Crete’s rise as a luxury travel destination and the strategic importance of expanding IHG’s lifestyle and luxury footprint in Greece. Gelasakis Group, the local partner, emphasized the value of IHG’s global experience in driving performance.
These new hotels contribute to IHG’s fast-growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio, which now includes six brands and over 900 open and pipeline hotels globally.
IHG already operates five properties in Greece, with two Six Senses resorts in development, further reinforcing its investment in the region’s upscale hospitality sector.
