IHG Hotels & Resorts has introduced its midscale conversion brand, Garner hotels, to the UK, with the launch of Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury. This milestone marks continued rapid growth for the brand since its global debut in 2023.
Operated by KRO Hospitality, the 80-room hotel in Northern England joins a growing European portfolio, following IHG’s agreement with NOVUM Hospitality to open 50+ Garner hotels in Germany.

Designed for easy-going, comfortable stays, Garner hotels focus on convenient locations, free Wi-Fi, quality bedding, and round-the-clock refreshments at the Garner Shop. A signature Sketches of Humanity feature wall in the reception area reflects the brand’s emphasis on human connection.
Dining options include the Village Brasserie, serving locally sourced British cuisine, and a Lounge Bar for relaxed socializing. Business travelers benefit from versatile meeting spaces, while a Fitness Suite caters to wellness-conscious guests.
The hotel is strategically located near M6 Junction 31, offering easy access to Preston, Manchester, Liverpool, the Lake District, and Blackpool, as well as key business hubs like BAE Systems and the University of Central Lancashire.
