This strategy aligns with recent industry trends, as UK hotel investment hit a five-year high by the end of 2024, according to Cushman & Wakefield.

Among the latest signings are Hotel Indigo Leeds, a stylish renovation of the city’s oldest hotel, and voco London – Marylebone, marking the brand’s debut in the capital.

Other key additions include Crowne Plaza East Midlands Airport, providing seamless airport access, and Garner Hotels in Preston, Reading, and Nottingham, offering contemporary, well-located accommodations. Additionally, the Holiday Inn Express London – Woolwich will open in 2029 as a flagship property for the brand.

IHG’s Joanna Kurowska, VP and Managing Director for the UK & Ireland, highlighted the strong demand for IHG brands, emphasizing their appeal to both hotel owners and guests.

With London seeing particularly healthy growth, IHG remains focused on innovation, loyalty programs, and enhanced guest experiences to strengthen its presence in the region.

As IHG continues to expand, 2024 and beyond will see new openings that reinforce the company’s commitment to sustainable growth in its largest European market.
