IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Crowne Plaza Istanbul West in partnership with Artas Turizm Isletmeciligi Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi, further strengthening its presence in Türkiye.
The move reflects IHG’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in the country, which continues to grow as a key destination for both corporate and leisure travelers.

Strategically located near Tuyap Exhibition and Fair Centre, Ambarli Port, and the Beylikduzu Industrial Zone, the new hotel is set to cater primarily to business travelers. Guests will also have easy access to Buyukcekmece Beach, making it an attractive option for those blending work and leisure.
Crowne Plaza Istanbul West will offer a wellness center, spa, fitness room, all-day dining restaurant, bar, and versatile meeting and event spaces, designed to accommodate both corporate functions and intimate gatherings.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President of Development, Europe at IHG, emphasized the strong momentum of the Turkish market and IHG’s commitment to innovation and differentiation.
Meanwhile, Cem Ozan Metin, Board Member of Artas Turizm, highlighted the success of their long-standing partnership with IHG, citing the positive experience with Holiday Inn Istanbul Old City.
IHG currently operates 33 hotels in Türkiye, including 13 Crowne Plaza properties, with Crowne Plaza Istanbul West set to become the 9th open and pipeline Crowne Plaza in Istanbul. The brand continues to expand, with 17 properties in development across Europe and 140 globally as of December 2024.
