IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open a new InterContinental Hotels & Resorts property in Orlando, Florida, in partnership with Flag Luxury Group and Unicorp National Developments. Slated for a 2028 debut on the city’s iconic International Drive, the InterContinental Orlando aims to combine luxury with the vibrant energy of one of the United States’ most popular destinations.
The hotel will feature 700 guestrooms, including 84 suites, and will offer a range of amenities designed to enhance guest experiences. Dining options will include five restaurants and bars, catering to a variety of tastes, while 15,000 square feet of spa and wellness facilities will provide spaces for relaxation and rejuvenation. The property will also cater to business travelers, offering 106,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a business center, and the signature Club InterContinental lounge.
IHG’s Chief Executive Officer for the Americas, Jolyon Bulley, expressed enthusiasm for the project, noting the significance of Orlando’s dynamic environment in the InterContinental brand’s continued expansion. Paul Kanavos, CEO of Flag Luxury Group, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the collaboration as an opportunity to bring a new level of luxury to Orlando.
Orlando’s International Drive is recognized as a hub of entertainment, offering close proximity to attractions such as Disney World and the upcoming Universal Epic Universe. The InterContinental Orlando will be the third InterContinental property in Florida, contributing to the brand’s legacy as a leader in luxury hospitality.
