IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a major expansion in Saudi Arabia with the signing of three new hotels in partnership with leading real estate developer Ashaad, unveiled during the Future Hospitality Summit Riyadh 2025.
The move supports the Kingdom’s fast-growing tourism sector and aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, adding over 1,700 rooms to IHG’s national portfolio between 2028 and 2030.

The New Additions
- InterContinental Al Khobar Al Hamra:
Set to open adjacent to the upscale Al Shubaily Grand Mall, this 326-room luxury hotel will bring the InterContinental brand’s world-class service to the heart of Al Khobar, one of the Eastern Province’s most vibrant markets. It will cater to both corporate travelers and leisure guests in the Dammam metropolitan area. - voco Al Khobar Al Andalus:
Part of IHG’s rapidly expanding premium brand, the new 717-room voco hotel will combine the brand’s modern style with an inviting, character-rich guest experience. Its location near the Corniche ensures easy access to leisure and cultural hotspots, supporting both business and lifestyle travelers. - Hotel Indigo Jeddah Gate:
Positioned within a mixed-use development near Al Balad, Jeddah Central Development, and the Royal Court, this 700-key lifestyle hotel will offer immersive stays reflecting the cultural and artistic vibrancy of south Jeddah. The Hotel Indigo brand is known for its neighborhood-centric design and experiences, making it an ideal fit for the area’s dynamic urban environment.

IHG’s Growing Footprint
IHG currently operates 45 hotels across six brands in Saudi Arabia and has 49 more in the development pipeline slated to open in the next three to five years.
This latest signing further strengthens its position in key cities like Jeddah and Al Khobar, offering a spectrum of hospitality experiences that range from premium to luxury, all designed to meet the diverse needs of a growing international and domestic guest base.
