As part of the collaboration, APSN students will receive on-the-job training and full-time employment opportunities in roles such as concierge, kitchen steward, housekeeper, and service staff.
This partnership builds on IHG’s broader initiatives, including the annual 34-kilometer Giving For Good relay, which raises funds for APSN and supports IHG’s global “Journey to Tomorrow” plan aimed at improving 30 million lives by 2030.
Rajit Sukumaran, Senior Vice President of IHG East Asia & Pacific, emphasized the importance of fostering an inclusive workplace, noting that 5% of IHG’s full-time workforce in Singapore comprises people with disabilities.
Royce Seah, Chairman of APSN, praised the partnership for its lasting impact on empowering students and trainees with special needs.
With over 1,600 employees in Singapore, IHG continues to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, winning recognition as Kincentric Best Employer for 2024.
