IHG® Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Haware Engineers & Builders to introduce Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pen Mumbai Goa Highway, set to open in early 2028.
The 126-room property will mark IHG’s brand debut in Pen, Maharashtra, further expanding the group’s presence in India’s fast-growing industrial corridors.
Located in Pen, part of the Raigad district within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), the hotel is positioned to serve both business and transit travelers.

It will offer smart, modern accommodations along with a dining venue, event and meeting spaces, and a fitness center—all designed for efficient, comfortable stays.
Holiday Inn Express, IHG’s largest and fastest-growing brand with over 3,200 hotels globally, is known for its no-fuss, on-the-go hospitality. Once operational, the new Pen location will uphold this promise with smart service and convenience in a key commercial area.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of IHG South West Asia, emphasized the strategic importance of expanding into high-demand markets, stating the hotel’s location will offer seamless access to industrial and business zones. Mrs.
Ujjwala Haware, Chairperson of Haware’s Lotus Hotels, highlighted the partnership as a step toward offering a world-class stay experience tailored for the area’s growing traveler base.
IHG currently operates 47 hotels across India with six distinct brands and plans to add 60 more properties over the next 3–5 years.
