Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to open a new Park Hyatt hotel in Sapporo, Japan, slated for 2029. This will be the fourth Park Hyatt in the country, following the success of Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. The new hotel will occupy the 27th through 35th floors of a mixed-use tower, offering 157 luxurious rooms and suites with panoramic views of Odori Park and Sapporo’s cityscape.
Designed by acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma, the hotel will provide world-class culinary and wellness amenities, including an indoor pool and versatile event spaces. Located at the intersection of Sapporo’s main commercial and business thoroughfare, it will be ideally positioned in the heart of Hokkaido’s economic and cultural hub.

Sapporo, Japan’s fifth-largest city, is a year-round tourist destination known for its winter landscapes and vibrant city life. The upcoming high-speed rail extension, along with its accessibility from Tokyo via short flights, is expected to further boost the city’s appeal.
This project marks Hyatt’s second collaboration with Heiwa Real Estate, following the upcoming Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo. The Park Hyatt Sapporo joins a growing portfolio of 21 Hyatt properties across Japan, highlighting the company’s commitment to expanding its luxury offerings in the region.
