Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has extended its exclusivity agreement with Playa Hotels & Resorts (NASDAQ: PLYA) through February 10, 2025, continuing discussions on potential strategic alternatives, including a possible acquisition of Playa by Hyatt.
The extension signals Hyatt’s continued interest in expanding its all-inclusive and resort portfolio, building on its existing footprint of 1,350+ properties across 79 countries.
Playa operates a collection of luxury beachfront resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, aligning with Hyatt’s strategy of growing its Inclusive Collection brands.
