Hyatt Hotels Corporation has completed its acquisition of Standard International, the parent company of The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels brands, further strengthening its leadership in the lifestyle hospitality sector.
The deal includes management, franchise, and license contracts for 22 hotels, including iconic properties like The Standard, London and The Standard, High Line in New York City, adding approximately 2,000 rooms to Hyatt’s asset-light portfolio.

This acquisition, which builds on Hyatt’s rapid expansion in the lifestyle segment, also includes over 30 future projects and a robust residential business, with Standard Residences under development in cities like Miami and Lisbon.
Hyatt will establish a dedicated Lifestyle group, led by Amar Lalvani, former Executive Chairman of Standard International, and headquartered in New York.
This move complements Hyatt’s overall growth strategy, which spans all segments from luxury all-inclusive resorts to select-service properties.
Hyatt’s brand portfolio has expanded significantly since 2017, with properties growing by 86% and loyalty membership tripling during that period.
