Bunkhouse Hotels has debuted its first Houston property, Hotel Saint Augustine, in the heart of Montrose, offering 71 boutique rooms and suites, a Gulf Coast-inspired restaurant, lush courtyards, and a heated circular pool.
Spread across 2.2 acres, the hotel embraces the neighborhood’s vibrant art, food, and nightlife scenes while blending seamlessly into the area’s residential character.
Designed by Lake|Flato Architects with interiors by Post Company, the hotel draws inspiration from Houston’s rich cultural and artistic heritage.

Highlights include the Augustine Lounge and Listening Room, featuring a curated selection of music and cocktails, and Perseid, an all-day restaurant led by celebrated Houston chef Aaron Bludorn. The menu merges Gulf Coast flavors with French-inspired techniques, alongside a global wine list and seasonal cocktails.
Each room boasts playful, surrealist-inspired design with deep hues, velvet textures, sculptural lighting, and custom furnishings. Options range from cozy “Petite Queen” rooms to spacious “Atelier” suites with private outdoor spaces.
The hotel’s flexible event space accommodates up to 250 guests, with porches overlooking the courtyards and pool. Landscaped by Ten Eyck Studio, the property features mature oak trees and lush native plants, creating an inviting indoor-outdoor retreat.
Hotel Saint Augustine reflects Bunkhouse Hotels’ ethos of fostering community-driven experiences, with plans for future cultural programming and partnerships. Nightly rates start at $429.
