The interiors are filled with curated art, including a floor-by-floor photographic exhibition by New Zealand artist Stuart Robertson and lobby installations by stylist Simone Haag and multidisciplinary artist Raukura Turei, all celebrating local culture and creativity.

Inside, the guest rooms echo the building’s motoring legacy, featuring playful touches like rear-view mirrors above beds and upholstery inspired by classic cars.

Floor-to-ceiling windows in the 27 hotel floors offer sweeping city and harbour views, while thoughtful details like locally sourced minibar items, GHD hairdryers, and exclusive MARACA amenities add a touch of indulgence.

At the heart of the hotel’s dining is Bistro Saine, a French-Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Korean-born, French-trained chef Yutak Son.

Complementing it are Café Etiquette, a chic café and wine bar, and The Henry, a sophisticated cocktail lounge channeling the vibes of New York, London, and Paris.

General Manager Mathew Simister highlighted the hotel’s deep connection to the Auckland community, saying every detail has been carefully chosen to reflect the city’s identity.

IHG’s Matt Tripolone noted the launch strengthens the group’s boutique presence in Australasia, with this being the fifth Hotel Indigo in the region.

Ideally located near attractions like the upcoming New Zealand International Convention Centre, Sky Tower, Britomart, and Wynyard Quarter, Hotel Indigo Auckland is designed for both business and leisure travellers. Rooms start at NZD $309 per night.
