The Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association (HLTA) Charity Walk 2024 took place on June 22 at Waikoloa Resort, bringing together community members to support local charities and non-profits.
In addition to the walk, a Charity Golf Day on April 20 at Mauna Lani contributed to fundraising efforts. Thanks to the generosity of participants and sponsors, HLTA will distribute a record USD 500,000 to over 65 charities across the Big Island, making a significant impact.

HLTA President and CEO Mufi Hannemann expressed gratitude for the community’s support, noting that this year’s statewide efforts raised an impressive USD 3 million. He praised the Big Island team for achieving record results, highlighting the longstanding tradition of the Charity Walk in giving back to the community.
Charlie Parker, Regional VP and GM of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, and Hawaii Island HLTA Chair, emphasized the event’s importance, celebrating the unity and generosity of the visitor industry in supporting vital local causes.
The next Charity Walk is scheduled for May 10, 2025.
