Hilton has unveiled its 2025 Trends Report, highlighting how travelers are seeking to balance relaxation with high-impact adventures, blending both work and play during their vacations.

As post-pandemic travel normalizes, travelers are focused on maximizing their time away, opting for experiences that merge relaxation with exciting exploration.

The report, based on insights from 13,000 travelers across 13 countries and feedback from 4,100 Hilton team members, reveals key travel trends for 2025, including:

  • Go Getaways vs. Sleep Retreats: 70% of travelers enjoy being active, while others indulge in “Hurkle-Durkling” (lounging in bed) or booking wellness treatments to recharge.
  • Slow Travel & Time Travel: 25% of travelers seek longer, immersive stays, while 58% revisit childhood destinations with their own kids.
  • Tech & Digital Detox: 63% of travelers prioritize digital conveniences like mobile room keys, while 24% focus on disconnecting from social media.
  • Pet-Friendly Travel: 25% of solo travelers plan to travel with pets, a trend particularly strong among Brazilian travelers.
  • Foodie Exploration & Sober Curiosity: 1 in 5 travelers plan culinary adventures, and 1 in 4 are embracing mindful drinking.
