Hilton has expanded into Laos with the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane, marking the hospitality giant’s entry into its 10th market in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of Laos’ capital, the hotel offers business and leisure travelers easy access to major transport hubs and local attractions.
This launch reflects Hilton’s ongoing growth in the region, where it plans to nearly double its portfolio in the coming years.
Alan Watts, Hilton’s Asia Pacific president, said, “We are honored to bring Hilton’s signature hospitality to Vientiane, an emerging destination with rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.”

The 188-room hotel, featuring views of the city and Mekong River, combines contemporary design with Lao cultural elements. Guests are greeted with DoubleTree’s signature warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in, and can enjoy amenities such as a rooftop pool, 24-hour fitness center, and three distinct dining options.
ORIGIN offers a farm-to-table menu with local Laotian cuisine, while NICO’S sports bar and the rooftop Pool Bar provide relaxed dining and scenic views.
DoubleTree by Hilton Vientiane also caters to business needs, offering over 550 square meters of event space, including a ballroom for up to 600 guests.
This opening is part of Hilton’s ambitious plans to expand its presence across Asia, with nearly 80 DoubleTree properties in the pipeline.
