Hampton by Hilton has launched its first property in Africa with the opening of Hampton by Hilton Sandton Grayston in Johannesburg, South Africa. This marks the brand’s 150th hotel in the EMEA region and brings its globally renowned mid-scale hospitality to the continent.
The 158-room hotel, located in Johannesburg’s financial and shopping district, offers modern accommodations, free hot breakfast, and 24/7 snack options. Guests can enjoy South African art inspired by local landscapes and wildlife, along with access to The Active Hub fitness center.

Guy Hutchinson, Hilton’s President for the Middle East & Africa, highlighted Africa’s growing potential for development, while Shruti Gandhi Buckley, Global Brand Leader for Hampton by Hilton, called the opening a milestone for the brand’s expansion into Africa.
