Gaylord Hotels, in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, is launching an epic new family attraction this summer: DC Summer.
Kicking off in May 2025, this first-of-its-kind experience will unfold across four Gaylord Resorts in the U.S., delivering immersive, resort-wide adventures inspired by the legendary DC Universe—from check-in to check-out.

A Super-Powered Summer Across Gaylord Resorts
Running from May 23 to September 1, 2025, DC Summer will span Gaylord Opryland (Nashville), Gaylord Palms (Kissimmee), Gaylord Rockies (Aurora), and Gaylord Texan (Lake Grapevine), transforming each location into a heroic playground. Families and fans can look forward to over a dozen DC-themed activations, including:
- DC Super Hero’s Mission Checklist (a resort-wide challenge for kids)
- Revenge of The Riddler Scavenger Hunt
- Super Hero Academy Live Show and DC Super Hero Sightings
- Character dining with the Justice League—or with Harley Quinn and The Joker
- Secret Menus, themed crafts, pool parties, and movie nights
- DC-themed light shows and retail pop-ups with exclusive merchandise

Universe of Light Featuring DC – A World Premiere at Gaylord Texan
The flagship attraction of the season, Universe of Light Featuring DC, will debut exclusively at Gaylord Texan Resort. This 17,500-square-foot walkthrough installation will feature over 1,000 handcrafted lanterns representing 40 iconic characters and worlds from the DC Universe.
Master artisans from Zigong, China, using a millennium-old lantern tradition, have created enormous glowing sculptures up to 24 feet tall, portraying scenes from Gotham City, Themyscira, Metropolis, and more.
Guests will encounter photo ops, interactive segments, and even have a chance to pick up an exclusive custom DC comic created just for the event.
