Four Seasons will take over operations at The Park Gstaad Hotel in Switzerland following its extensive renovation, with the reopening scheduled for the 2026-2027 winter season.
As Gstaad’s first five-star hotel, originally opened in 1910, the iconic property will merge its historic alpine charm with the modern luxury synonymous with Four Seasons, reinforcing Gstaad’s reputation as a premier global alpine destination.
Owned by philanthropist Dona Bertarelli and undergoing a complete transformation led by Squircle Capital and renowned interior designer Joseph Dirand, the hotel will relaunch as The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel.

It will feature 75 rooms and suites, including luxurious Penthouse Residences available for purchase, providing a lifestyle of unmatched sophistication with Four Seasons’ property management expertise.
Bart Carnahan, President of Global Business Development for Four Seasons, expressed excitement about entering Gstaad’s exclusive market, while Bertarelli emphasized the importance of preserving the hotel’s heritage while introducing modern elegance.
The revamped property will offer stunning views of the Swiss Alps and be steps away from Gstaad’s gourmet restaurants and designer boutiques.
Planned amenities include signature dining and bar concepts, a destination spa and fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, and unique features like a tennis court, ice rink, ski and bike services, and facilities for children. Upgraded employee accommodations reflect the commitment to well-being for staff.
Gstaad, a world-renowned destination for skiing and year-round outdoor activities, combines luxurious alpine charm with top-tier wellness and cultural offerings. The region offers 220 kilometers (136 miles) of ski slopes and summer options like hiking, biking, and golf, all within a two-hour drive of Geneva or a short trip via nearby Bern airport or Gstaad’s train station.
