Refined Dining Experiences
The revitalization began with a bold culinary step forward. The launch of Nuru — meaning “light” — introduces a steakhouse-style restaurant with a Tanzanian twist, blending international flavors with regional character.
Guests can also indulge in The Vineyard, an exclusive private dining venue offering intricately curated five- and seven-course meals paired with fine wines, all set against the unforgettable Serengeti backdrop.

Celebrating Local Heritage
All 72 rooms and five villas are being reimagined with inspiration drawn from Maasai traditions. Each space now features modern comforts alongside locally crafted elements, including kitenge-patterned textiles, white linens, and polished leather touches that echo the spirit of classic safari exploration.

These upgrades aim to complete by May 2025, with every detail grounded in authenticity and crafted with a nod to regional artisanship.
Sustainable by Design
Sustainability lies at the core of the renovation. In 2024, the Lodge activated Tanzania’s largest solar farm, enabling it to operate primarily on solar power.
More recently, it replaced traditional thatched roofing with durable, eco-friendly synthetic materials that better withstand the elements while protecting native wildlife. These changes are part of a broader strategy to align luxury with responsible environmental stewardship.

Upcoming Enhancements
In the months ahead, the well-loved Maji restaurant and bar, which overlooks the family pool and an active watering hole, will receive its own upgrade. This new vision will offer guests a tranquil space to soak in the sunset after a day of wildlife encounters — blending dining with the natural rhythm of the Serengeti.
Unmatched Year-Round Safaris
Perfectly positioned in the heart of the Serengeti, the Lodge offers a front-row seat to the region’s shifting wildlife scenes.
From the lush green season between January and March, when vast herds gather across the plains, to the predator-rich dry months from June through October, and the return migration in November and December — each season offers a distinct lens through which to experience the Serengeti’s wonders.
Whether it’s a festive family holiday, a romantic off-season escape, or a first-time journey into the wild, Four Seasons Safari Lodge blends world-class service, luxurious accommodations, and a deep-rooted respect for the environment — ensuring that each guest’s experience is as meaningful as it is unforgettable.
