In 2023 alone, Four Seasons Hotel Montreal collected 29,600 kilograms (65,256.75 pounds) of cardboard and 62,700 kilograms (138,229.67 pounds) of compost, equivalent to the combined weight of 76 cars. The hotel also introduced a groundbreaking kitchen oil and grease recovery system, recycling 50,300 liters (13,287.85 gallons) in just six months—an amount of water savings sufficient to meet the needs of 3,000 people for a week. Additionally, the hotel added a dedicated dishwasher position for sorting and implementing new recovery practices, further embodying its proactive approach to waste reduction.
