This spring, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto will officially rebrand EMBA KYOTO CHOPHOUSE as EMBA KYOTO GRILL on April 1, 2025, refining its focus on premium fire-grilled cuisine.
The upgrade includes the introduction of a Josper grill, adding smoky depth to meats, seafood, and vegetables, while staying true to the restaurant’s original spirit.

The transformation also extends outdoors to the refreshed pondside terrace, featuring sleek Kettal furniture and views of the heritage garden. A special touch for spring: soft mist enhances the landscape each morning and evening.

To celebrate the relaunch, a pop-up bar in partnership with Kyoto’s Ki No Bi craft gin will offer three exclusive cocktails—Matcha Gin & Tonic, Hanami Spritz, and In The Pink—available until May 8, 2025, for JPY 3,200 each.

The terrace, open daily from 7:00 am, welcomes both hotel guests and visitors, with seating fees starting at JPY 2,000.

EMBA KYOTO GRILL now offers an expanded menu of curated courses and à la carte dishes, from dry-aged beef to seasonal produce and fresh seafood, all served in a warm dining space or alfresco setting by the water.
