Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya has earned the Green Key Certificate for 2025, a top international recognition for sustainable hospitality.
Presented by Mana El Rez Bassaj of the Kuwait Water Association, the award highlights the hotel’s strong environmental efforts. Mohamed Najia of the Kuwait Hotel Owners’ Association also visited to personally congratulate the team.
General Manager Martin Kipping called the certification a reflection of the hotel’s commitment to responsible hospitality, reinforcing its position as a regional leader in sustainable luxury.

The hotel’s eco-achievements already include LEED Platinum status and Forbes Verified Responsible Hospitality, along with Five-Star ratings for both its hotel and spa.
Under the Four Seasons For Good initiative, the property has embraced advanced green practices such as AI-powered waste management, in-house water bottling, removal of single-use plastics, and the addition of EV charging stations.

Set in Kuwait City’s landmark Burj Alshaya, the hotel combines 284 stylish accommodations, five dining venues, wellness spaces, and premium event facilities with an unwavering focus on sustainability.
The Green Key program, run globally by the Foundation for Environmental Education, sets a high bar for eco-conscious practices across hospitality, with over 5,800 certified establishments in 60+ countries.
