The Peninsula New York has completed a major redesign, updating 219 guest rooms, suites, public spaces, and dining venues.
Led by Bill Rooney Studio, the refurbishment, which began in January 2024, revitalized key areas such as the Lobby, Reception, Palm Court, and the rooftop lounge, Pen Top.
As a historic Fifth Avenue landmark since 1904, The Peninsula New York drew inspiration from Manhattan’s 1920s glamour, blending this timeless elegance with modern simplicity.

Samir Ibrahim, Managing Director, noted that the redesign solidifies the hotel’s status as a top luxury destination, offering a refined mix of contemporary design and exceptional service.
Guests are welcomed into a striking lobby with a double-height ceiling, a grand chandelier, and a marble staircase. The refreshed Palm Court features a triptych by artist Ricardo Mazal, adding modern flair to the space.
The updated guest rooms evoke a private Manhattan residence, with contemporary touches, curated artwork, and The Peninsula’s advanced in-room technology, which includes multilingual touch-screen tablets and a 24-hour digital concierge.
The hotel’s three Signature Suites—Fifth Avenue Suite, The Peninsula Suite, and the Grand Suite—offer expansive layouts and stunning views of the city and Central Park.
The rooftop lounge, Pen Top, now features a retractable roof for year-round dining, serving classic cocktails and light bites in a stylish setting with skyline views. The Gotham Lounge returns as an elegant piano bar, while Clement restaurant offers new seasonal dishes and its famous Fifth Avenue Weekend Brunch.
Located in Midtown Manhattan, The Peninsula New York continues to set the standard for luxury, combining old-world charm with modern sophistication.
