The Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan has unveiled a revitalized wellness sanctuary, the Sacred River Spa, blending Balinese spirituality with modern holistic practices.
Crafted by The Fulcrum Agency, Design Studio SPIN, and Bukit Kembar Permai, this 4,970-square-meter retreat integrates art, natural materials, and a calming color palette to harmonize with the Ayung river valley.

Rooted in the Balinese philosophy of Niskala, which honors unseen energies, the spa’s new treatment menu revolves around water-based therapies that unify body, mind, and nature. Six signature rituals incorporate traditional Balinese healing, such as Restu Bumi, a purification ceremony with herbs and gemstones, and Tirta Ening, a water-based healing treatment.
The spa also collaborates with Synthesis Organics, an Australian line of plant-powered skincare, enhancing rituals like Chakra Ceremonies to promote balance across body, mind, and spirit.
Each treatment begins and ends with the resonant tones of quartz crystal singing bowls at 432 Hz, with a dedicated Sound Healing Room and custom playlists featuring Solfeggio frequencies and Ayung valley sounds. The spa’s new logo—a biogeometric circle—emits centering energy, connecting with global sacred sites.
The spa includes seven private villas named after sacred Balinese elements like Sejuk (Water) and Teja (Fire), each featuring luxurious Indonesian stone baths and cutting-edge massage beds. Additional amenities include the Dharma Satya Yoga Pavilion, an infrared-Swedish sauna villa, and Dharma Shanti Bale for meditation.
Luisa Anderson, Regional Director of Spa for Four Seasons Asia Pacific, notes that the redesign honors the profound energies of the Ayung River, blending ancient wisdom with advanced wellness. Wellness Mentor Ibu Fera, a former Buddhist nun, leads meditation and the Sacred Nap, guiding guests toward inner tranquility.
Randy Shimabuku, General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali, celebrates the spa’s refreshed look as a blend of Balinese culture and personalized well-being, inviting guests to embark on a transformative journey in the heart of the Sayan valley.
