From April 23 to 27, 2025, Four Seasons Resort Lanai invites guests to take part in a series of celestial-themed experiences in the lead-up to Spring Astronomy Day on May 3.
The resort’s Manele Ballroom will transform into an interactive Astronomy Centre with hands-on stations for all ages. Activities include daily workshops on moon phases, star life cycles, canoe navigation, and the Hawaiian practice of kilo (observation).

A mini planetarium offers a cozy spot for stargazing. Open daily from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm—reservations encouraged.
Lanai’s onsite Observatory, equipped with a powerful PW1000 telescope by PlaneWave Instruments, hosts guided day tours April 23–27 from 4:30 to 5:00 pm. No reservation is needed—meet at Manele 1 for access.
Evenings feature the Kilo Hoku Experience, where cultural advisors share Hawaiian ancestral knowledge and guide guests through the night sky, reflecting on how Polynesians navigated the Pacific using celestial cues.
Additional highlights include Celestial Tastings on April 25 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at The Break, with astronomy-inspired cocktails like the Solar Flare and themed treats offered all week.
At Hawanawana Spa, unwind with Stargazing Heart Meditation led by Wellness Supervisor Caroline Reese. This 45-minute session under the stars takes place April 23 and 25 at 7:00 pm in the Lanai Gardens, combining mindfulness with nature’s serenity.
