Design Hotels expands with 29 new properties, adding unique destinations in the U.S., Mexico, and Georgia’s Black Sea coast, achieving a 10% growth in its global portfolio.

Design Hotels has announced a substantial expansion, signing 29 new properties and achieving a 10 percent growth in its global portfolio over the past year.

From the upscale neighborhoods of New York City’s Tribeca to the historic Black Sea coast in Batumi, Georgia, each new property captures the independent, community-focused ethos of the brand, adding unique destinations in the U.S., Mexico, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Singapore, and Bali.

Notable additions in the U.S. include partnerships with Firmdale’s new Warren Street Hotel in NYC and Drift Hotels, which debuted Drift Nashville this July, featuring minimalist design and three vibrant dining venues.

In California, the portfolio grows with Jeff Klein’s Hotel 850 SVB in West Hollywood and the forthcoming Granger Hotel in San Diego. Mexico has become another focus, with Design Hotels expanding to 26 properties, including Tinte Hotel in Yucatán, a boutique with ocean views in a UNESCO site, and Hotel Humano in Puerto Escondido, set to open in 2025 as part of Grupo Habita’s distinctive collection.

Globally, the brand is introducing unique properties in Switzerland, with the recently opened Home Hotel Zurich showcasing Dada-inspired design in a former paper mill, and the soon-to-open Hôtel Borsari in Martigny, featuring a Roman bathhouse and 51 luxury suites. In Batumi, Georgia, Rooms Batumi Hotel brings 1970s-inspired flair with 120 rooms, a rooftop pool, and fusion dining, marking Design Hotels’ first property in this Black Sea destination.
