IHG Hotels & Resorts continues the rapid expansion of its Crowne Plaza brand with the December openings of Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes and Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport.
These new additions highlight the brand’s commitment to blending modern amenities, innovative dining, and versatile spaces for business and leisure travelers alike.

Crowne Plaza Adelaide Mawson Lakes
The 155-room hotel marks northern Adelaide’s first premium property, offering convenient access to the city center, Barossa Valley, and local attractions.
Designed with South Australia’s natural landscapes in mind, the hotel’s accommodations include king and twin rooms, suites, and kitchenettes, featuring high-tech amenities and 24-hour in-room dining.
Dining at the hotel is centered around Ember & Vine, a restaurant focused on bold flavors and locally sourced ingredients, while Aviator Bar offers panoramic views of Adelaide Hills and Parafield Airport. Four state-of-the-art conference spaces provide over 442 square meters for events of up to 250 guests.
Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport
Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport introduces the brand to an airport location in Australia, following a $15 million transformation. The hotel features 252 guestrooms with warm, modern interiors, as well as a newly redesigned lobby with open reception pods and striking design elements.
Guests can enjoy 24-hour room service, a gym, sauna, and six versatile meeting spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel’s culinary offerings are undergoing a major refresh, with new dining concepts set to launch soon.
Looking ahead, Crowne Plaza plans further growth in Australia with openings in Macquarie Park, Melbourne Carlton, Shell Cove Marina, and Geelong by 2026, reflecting the brand’s continued success in meeting the needs of today’s travelers.
