Chase and Marriott Bonvoy Enhance Bold Credit Card with New Benefits

Chase and Marriott Bonvoy launch the enhanced Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card, offering more points on everyday purchases, a new Travel Now, Pay Later benefit, and no annual fee.

Chase, the largest co-brand card issuer in the U.S., and Marriott Bonvoy®, Marriott International’s renowned travel program, have unveiled new and enhanced benefits for the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card. Cardmembers can now earn more points on everyday purchases and access a new Travel Now, Pay Later benefit, all while enjoying no annual fee.

The Travel Now, Pay Later benefit allows cardmembers to break up travel purchases between $100 to $5,000 into equal monthly payments with no interest or fees. This option is available for transactions made directly with airlines or at Marriott Bonvoy hotels, and points are earned on these purchases as usual.

Cardmembers will now earn 2X points per dollar on purchases at grocery stores, for rideshares, select food delivery, streaming, and internet, cable, and phone services. Additionally, they will receive automatic Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status, which includes perks such as Priority Late Checkout (when available) and 10% more points on stays. Five Elite Night Credits are awarded each year, aiding in achieving higher Elite status. These enhancements complement existing benefits like up to 14X points per dollar spent at Marriott Bonvoy hotels and 1X points on all other purchases.

Khary Barnes, Managing Director and General Manager of Marriott Bonvoy Co-Brand Cards at Chase, highlighted the goal of making travel dreams attainable for cardmembers. “The new benefits will attract a broader audience, especially Gen Z and Millennials, who value everyday purchase rewards and flexible payment options.”

David Flueck, Global Head of Loyalty, Cards and Partnerships at Marriott, emphasized that the enhancements make the card ideal for younger consumers by transforming everyday spending into free stays at Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive portfolio, all without an annual fee.

To celebrate the upgrades, new cardmembers can earn 60,000 bonus points and a Free Night Award (worth up to 50,000 points) after spending $2,000 within the first three months.
