IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan has announced a partnership with Berjaya Land Berhad to rebrand ANSA Okinawa Resort as ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills. The 123-room property will join IHG’s portfolio in early 2025, following renovations to align with Crowne Plaza’s brand standards.
This marks the first hotel collaboration in Japan between IHG and Berjaya Land, building on their successful partnership in Vietnam.

Abhijay Sandilya, CEO of IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan, highlighted the deal as a key milestone in IHG’s plan to double its presence in Japan. Syed Ali Shahul Hameed, CEO of Berjaya Land Berhad, emphasized the partnership’s potential to enhance guest experiences and strengthen Berjaya’s growth in Japan.
Located on Okinawa’s main island, the resort offers panoramic views of the East China Sea and Pacific Ocean, with easy access to cultural sites like Zakimi Gusuku Castle and nearby golf courses. Facilities will include an outdoor pool, gym, karaoke room, meeting spaces, a ballroom, and dining options.
The new ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills will be IHG’s third hotel in Okinawa, joining ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort and ANA InterContinental Ishigaki Resort. Globally, Crowne Plaza operates 413 hotels, with 146 more in development.
