IHG® Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with So Hotels LLP to launch InterContinental Kasauli, a luxury resort set to open in the first quarter of 2029.
Nestled in the scenic Shivalik hills with sweeping views of the Himalayas, the property will be a major addition to IHG’s expanding footprint in India and will cater to upscale leisure travel, destination weddings, and high-end corporate events.

As the world’s first and largest luxury hotel brand, InterContinental continues to lead in global hospitality, with over 225 hotels open worldwide and nearly 100 more in development. The new Kasauli resort reflects the brand’s legacy of cultural discovery and refined design.
Located in a charming hill station with strong road connectivity to Chandigarh and Shimla, InterContinental Kasauli will offer around 130 elegantly designed rooms and a suite of premium amenities.
These will include Concierge Galleries that act as cultural hubs within the lobby and spaces designed for Incredible Occasions, tailored to celebrations and milestone events.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia at IHG, highlighted the partnership’s potential: “We’re excited to bring InterContinental to Kasauli. The location, paired with IHG’s luxury standards and So Hotels’ expertise, will deliver a standout experience for discerning travelers.”

This development follows the ongoing construction of Holiday Inn Resort Kasauli, positioning IHG to redefine leisure hospitality in North India. IHG currently operates 47 hotels in India across six brands, with 60 more properties in the pipeline set to open within the next five years.
